Let \(\Omega\) be a bounded open set in \({\mathbb R}^n\) and assume that \(f:\Omega\times {\mathbb R}^N\times {\mathbb R}^{Nn}\rightarrow {\mathbb R}\) has \(p\)-growth (\(p>1\)) with respect to the gradient variable while with respect to the \(x\)-variable fulfills a weak VMO-condition. This paper deals with the study of minimizers \(u\in W^{1,p}(\Omega, {\mathbb R}^N)\) of quasi-convex integral functionals of the type \({\mathcal F}(u)=\int_\Omega f(x,u,Du)dx\). The main result of the paper under review establishes the partial Hölder continuity of minimizers. More precisely, it is shown that minimizers are locally Hölder continuous with any Hölder exponent \(\alpha\in (0, 1)\) in an open subset \(\Omega_0\subset\Omega\) with full Lebesgue measure, that is, \( |\Omega\setminus\Omega_0| = 0\).
