This book presents a basic course on ordinary differential equations. Formally, it is divided into two parts which are called ``Ordinary differential equations'' and ``Dynamical systems'', respectively. Practically, the second part deals also with ordinary differential equations by presenting the qualitative theory. The choice of the topics is quite broad and may serve as a reference or as a basis for lecture courses. The topics in the first section include: existence and uniqueness of solutions, linear systems, fundamental solutions, continuous and smooth dependence on parameters and initial conditions, stability theory, stability by linearization and Lyapunov functions. The second section contains more advanced topics: invariant sets, periodic solutions, elements of bifurcation theory, and differential equations on manifolds. All results are supplied by the corresponding proofs. The book contains many examples and exercises which can be used for teaching purposes.
