The article deals with the equilibrium problem of finding \(x \in C\) such that \(F(x,y) \geq 0\) for all \(y \in C\) where \(C\) is a nonempty closed convex subset of a real Hilbert space \(H\) and \(F: \;C \times C \to \mathbb{R}\) is a function satisfying the following properties: \(F(x,x) = 0\), \(F(x,y) + F(y,x) \leq 0\) for all \(x, y \in C\), \(\lim_{t \to 0} \;F(tz + (1 - t)x,y) \leq F(x,y)\) for all \(x,y,z \in C\), \(y \mapsto F(x,y\) is convex and lower semicontinuous for each \(x \in C\); \(EP(F)\) is the set of solutions to this equilibrium problem. The authors consider the iterative process defined by \[ \begin{cases} F(u_n,y) + \frac1{r_n} \langle y - u_n,u_n - x_n \rangle \geq 0, \quad \forall y \in C, \\ y_n = s_nP_C(u_n - \lambda_nAu_n) + (1 - s_n)x_n, \\ x_{n+1} = \alpha_nu + \beta_nx_n + \gamma_nW_n(P_C(y_n - \lambda_nAy_n)), \end{cases} \] where \(x_1 = u\), \(\{r_n\},\{s_n\},\{\alpha_n\}.\{\beta_n\},\{\gamma_n\},\{\lambda_n\}\) are number sequences, \(W_n\) is a sequence of nonexpansive mapping of \(C\) into itself, \(\bigcap_{n=1}^\infty F(T_n) \cap EP(F) \cap VI(A,C) \neq \emptyset\), \(A\) is an \(\alpha\)-inverse-strongly monotone mapping of \(C\) into \(H\), \(VI(A,C) = \{u: \;u P_C(u - \lambda u), \;\lambda > 0\}\), \(P_D\) (\(D\) is a closed convex nonempty set in \(H\)) is the metric projection of \(H\) on \(D\). They present conditions under that the iterations \(\{x_n\}\) converge strongly to \(x^* \in \bigcap_{n=1}^\infty F(T_n) \cap EP(F) \cap VI(A,C)\) with \(x^* \in P_{\bigcap_{n=1}^\infty F(T_n) \cap EP(F) \cap VI(A,C)}u\). They state that their result improves and extends analogous result by \textit{S. Plubtieng} and \textit{R. Punpaeng} [Appl. Math. Comput. 197, No.~2, 548--558 (2008; Zbl 1154.47053)].
