This paper presents an interesting summary of the golden section, Fibonacci numbers and Pascal's triangle. More importantly it discusses the relationship of these concepts to measurement theory and, in particular to new ways of representing numbers. The two particular ways discussed in detail are in terms of Fibonacci p-numbers (the Fibonacci codes) and in terms of the golden p-ratio (golden p-ratio codes). For special choices of p both of these reduces to binary representation but in general they have a redundancy which is of practical interest for the construction of self-checking integrated circuits.
