The unsteady flow of a compressible fluid is considered in the 3D domain \(\Omega=B\backslash S\), where \(B\subset \mathbb R^3\) is a ball and \(S\) is the compact subset of \(B\). The density \(\rho(x,t)\) and the velocity \(v(x,t)\) satisfy the equations \[ \begin{aligned} &\frac{\partial }{\partial t}(\rho v)+\text{div}\,(\rho v\otimes v)+\nabla p\,(\rho)=\mu_1\Delta v+(\mu_1+\mu_2)\nabla\text{div}\,v+\rho f \quad \text{in}\quad \Omega\times (0,T),\\ &\frac{\partial \rho}{\partial t}+\text{div}\,(\rho v)=0\quad \text{in}\quad \Omega\times (0,T) \end{aligned} \] with initial and boundary conditions \[ \begin{aligned} &(\rho v)(x,0)=q_0(x),\quad \rho(x,0)=\rho_0(x)\geq 0, \quad x\in\Omega,\\ &v=0 \quad\text{on}\quad \partial S\times(0,T),\quad v=v_\infty \quad\text{on}\quad \partial B\times(0,T),\quad \rho=\rho_\infty\quad\text{on}\quad \Gamma\times(0,T), \end{aligned} \] where \(v_\infty\) is the constant vector, \(\Gamma=\{x\in\partial B\mid v_\infty\cdot n<0\}\), viscosity coefficients \(\mu_1\) and \(\mu_2\) satisfy the inequalities \(\mu_1>0,\quad \frac{2}{3}\,\mu_1+\mu_2\geq 0\), the pressure \(p=p\,(\rho)\) is given by the equation \(p\,(\rho)=a\rho^\gamma,\quad a>0,\quad \gamma>\frac{3}{2}\). It is proved that the problem has a global in time weak solution.
