A family of integrable lattice equations, which were derived earlier, is considered. The reduction of this family to one-dimensional mappings is discussed. It is shown that instead of the expected reduction to ratios of biquadratic polynomials, the reduction is to another set studied by others before. Linearizability of some of the mappings is also shown.
