The authors offer a proof that, whenever \(1\leq r\leq p\), then there exist nonnegative constants \(C_{r,p}\) such that, for every pair of nonnegative f, g in \(L^ p\), we have \[ | \exp (-\int f^ rg^{p- r})-\exp (-\int f^{r-1}g^{p+1-r})| \leq C_{r,p}(\int | f- g|^ p)^{1/p}. \] For instance, if \(\int f^{r-1}g^{p+1-r}\leq (1/p)\int f^ rg^{p-r}\), then \(8^{r-p}[1-2^{-1/2}]^{-p}\) can serve as \(C_{p,r}\).
