It is known that there exist strongly pseudoconvex real analytic hypersurfaces not admitting any holomorphic embedding into a sphere in a complex space form of any dimension. It appears to be difficult to obtain explicit examples of such hypersurfaces. The aim of this paper is to give explicit examples of nonembeddable real analytic hypersurfaces of this kind. The main result is contained in the Theorem 1.1. Any hypersurface in \({C}^2\) given by convergent power series of the form \(Im \;w=z \overline{z}+ Re\;\sum_{k\geq 2}a_kz^k\overline{z}^{(k+2)!}+Re\;\sum b_{kml}z^k\overline{z}^m(Re\;w)^l\), where \(a_k\neq 0\) for all \(k\) and the second sum ranges over al \(k,m,l\) satisfying \(k,m\geq 2\), \ \(k\leq (m+l)!\) and \(m\leq (k+l)!\), is not holomorphically embeddable into a sphere of any dimension. More generally it is not transversally holomorphically embeddable into a hyperquadric of any dimension. Next the author studies the embeddability problem for real analytic submanifolds of higher codimension.
