A Borel isomorphism \(\psi: \Gamma \setminus G\to \Lambda \setminus H\) between two homogeneous spaces of Lie groups is called affine for \(g\in G\) if there exists some \(\tilde g\in H\) with \(g\psi =\psi \tilde g\) a.e., \(\psi\) is affine for G if it is affine for every \(g\in G\). If \(\Gamma\) and \(\Lambda\) are lattices in connected semisimple Lie groups G and H respectively, the author proves that a measure preserving Borel isomorphism \(\psi: \Gamma \setminus G\to \Lambda \setminus H\) is affine for G provided it is affine for some zero entropy ergodic translation \(g\in G\). This result generalizes \textit{M. Ratner}'s result for SL(2,\({\mathbb{R}})\) [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 115, 597-614 (1982; Zbl 0506.58030)]. Several applications are given concerning isomorphic actions.
