A study of the extended Hermite-Fejér interpolation (Q1066373): Difference between revisions

This paper is devoted to the study of interpolation processes \(\{M_ n,m(f,x)\}\) and \(\{N_ n(f,x)\}\) by Chebyshev nodes \(\{X_ k^{(n)}\}\), \(k=1,2,...,n\), \(n=1,2,... \). \(M_{n,m}(f,x)\) and \(N_ n(f,x)\) are polynomials of degrees 2n and \(2n+1\) respectively. They are uniquely determined from the conditions: \(M_{n,m}(f,x_ k^{(n)})=f(x_ k^{(n)}),M'_{n,m}(f,x_ k^{(n)})=0,\) \(k=1,2,...,n\), \(M^{(m)}_{n,m}(f,1)=0\), where m is a non-negative fixed integer. \(N_ n(f,x_ k^{(n)})=f(x_ k^{(n)}),\) \(N'_ n(f,x_ k^{(n)})=0,\) \(k=1,2,...,n\), \(N'_ n(f,1)=N''_ n(f,1)=0\).
