This paper investigates balanced fractional \(2^{m_ 1}\) factorial \((2^{m_ 1}\)-BFF) designs of resolution V with some nuisance parameters concerning \(m_ 2\) factors each at 2 levels, which are derived from partially balanced arrays (PB-arrays) and further permit estimation of the general mean, \(m_ 1\) main effects and \(\left( \begin{matrix} m_ 1\\ 2\end{matrix} \right)\) two-factor interactions orthogonally to the nuisance parameters. In this situation, we consider the following two models: One is that the nuisance parameters only contain \(m_ 2\) main effects. The other is that they contain \(m_ 2\) main effects and \(m_ 1m_ 2\) two-factor interactions. For each model, optimal designs \((A_ p\)-optimal, say) in the sense that they minimize the trace of the variance-covariance matrix of the estimates are also presented.
