Let A be an \(n\times n\) nonnegative matrix, \(AB=BA\), where \(B=[0^{0}_{J}1^{0}_{0}0^{J}_{0}]\), and \(J=J^ T=J^{-1}\) is \((2m+1)\times (2m+1).\) Then the number of real eigenvalues of A is at least (i) 1 if \(n=4m+1\), (ii) 2 if \(n=4m\) or \(4m+2\), (iii) 3 if \(n=4m+3\). In each case, one of these eigenvalues equals the spectral radius of A.
