In the paper under review, the authors study asymptotic expansions of generalized Bernoulli polynomials \(B_n^\mu(z)\) and generalized Euler polynomials \(E_n^\mu(z)\) for large \(n\), with the other parameters fixed. Using their generating functions, polynomials \(B_n^\mu(z)\) and \(E_n^\mu(z)\) of degree \(n\), complex order \(\mu\) and complex argument \(z\), defined respectively by \[ \frac{w^\mu e^{wz}}{(e^w-1)^\mu}=\sum_{n=0}^\infty\frac{B_n^\mu(z)}{n!}w^n\quad (|w|<2\pi), \] and \[ \frac{2^\mu e^{wz}}{(e^w+1)^\mu}=\sum_{n=0}^\infty\frac{E_n^\mu(z)}{n!}w^n\quad (|w|<\pi). \] Proofs start from Cauchy integral representations for \(B_n^\mu(z)\) and \(E_n^\mu(z)\), which are obtained considering these definitions. Then, the authors study both of them in various cases of the values of \(\mu\), where they consider the above mentioned Cauchy integral representation over various contours.
