The author studies existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence on data of solutions to fractional-order evolutionary integral equations of the form \[ D^\gamma u(t) = g(t) +\int_0^t f(t-s)Au(s) ds \] in a Banach space with the initial condition \(u(0)=0\) when \(\gamma \in (0,1]\) and \(u(0)=u_t(0) =0\) when \(\gamma \in (1,2]\). It is, among other things, assumed that the linear operator \(A\) generates an analytic semigroup and that \(g\) and \(Dg\) are integrable functions with values in the space \(D(A^2)\).
