The authors suggests the definitions of fuzzy almost compactness, fuzzy near compactness and fuzzy weak compactness, fuzzy \(S\)-closedness and fuzzy \(RS\)-compactness, following Lowen's approach to define a fuzzy compactness. They prove that all these concepts (except fuzzy \(RS\)- compactness) are good extensions of their classical topological counterparts. The authors could'nt prove the goodness of fuzzy \(RS\)- compactness but they still conjecture this to be the case.
