\textit{B. S. Thomson} [``Real functions'' (1985; Zbl 0581.26001)] defined a system of neighbourhoods for his theory of differentiation. The authors used this system to develop an integration of Henstock type and proved that it is equivalent to a descriptive definition using the same system. The theory includes the Henstock integral, the approximately continuous integral of Burkill and the dyadic integral.
