Global solutions to the Euler-Poisson equations of two-carrier types in one dimension (Q1365532): Difference between revisions

The global solution to the one-dimensional Euler-Poisson equations of two-carrier types is constructed by the fractional Godunov method. In order to prove convergence of the approximate solutions to the exact solution the method of compensated compactness is applied. It is necessary to obtain some uniform estimates to handle coupling terms. The existence of the global weak entropy solution for any data is proved.
