The author studies reglarity for the \(\overline \partial\)-Neumann problem on a domain in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) with boundary that is piecewise smooth and of finite type. The result is that the problem satisfies a subelliptic estimate of some positive order. In the process of proving this theorem, the author obtains some new information about the plurisubharmonic functions with large Hessian that were developed by Catlin to study finite type boundary points. Also an interesting approximation by globally smooth domains is used. The author goes to great pains to explain his proof, and to put his ideas in the context of earlier work.
