This paper deals with the control of multivariable, nonminimum-phase nonlinear systems of the general form \[ \begin{cases} \dot x=f(x)+ \sum^\infty_{i =1} u_ig_i(x)\\ y=h(x) \end{cases}. \] The main idea consists of replacing the output with a statically equivalent one (i.e., coincident on the equilibrium set) and in such a way that the system is locally hyperbolically minimum-phase. Applications are given to the control of a chemical reactor.
