The present paper is concerned with the global character of solutions of the nonlinear, second order, rational difference equation \(x_{n+1}=\frac{\alpha +\beta x_n+ \gamma x_{n-1}}{Bx_n +Cx_{n-1} }, \; n=0,1, \cdots\), where the parameters \(\alpha, \beta, \gamma, B, C\) are nonnegative real numbers and the initial conditions \(x_{-1}, x_0\) are arbitrary positive real numbers. The semicycle of solutions is described for such equation. The global asymptotical stability of the equilibrium is also studied.
