Let \(T^*\) denote \textit{B. S. Tsirelson}'s original space [Funkts. Anal. Prilozh. 8, No.2, 57-60 (1974; Zbl 0296.46018)] over the complex numbers. In an earlier paper [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 90, 407-411 (1984; Zbl 0536.46015)] the first two authors and \textit{S. Dineen} showed that for all n, the Banach space of continuous n-homogeneous polynomials on \(T^*\), \(P(^ nT^*)\), is reflexive and, consequently, \(H(T^*)\) is reflexive when endowed with the Nachbin ported topology. Here it is shown that for all n, the n-fold injective product of T is reflexive and contains no \(\ell_ p\)-space. Thus, \(P(^ nT^*)\) contains no \(\ell_ p\) space and therefore \(P(^ nT^*,\ell_ p)\) and \(H(T^*,\ell_ p)\) are reflexive for all integers n and all \(p\in (1,\infty)\). Mention is also made of an unpublished example of J. Bourgain, of two infinite dimensional Banach spaces such that all continuous linear mappings between them are compact.
