    Das Integral (\(m\) eine ganze Zahl) \[ y = \int _{- \infty}^{+ \infty} \frac {\sin{}^{m} a x}{x^{m}} d x = \pm \frac {\pi a^{m - 1}}{2 . 4 . \ldots 2 (m - 1) } \left \{ m^{m - 1} - \frac {m}{1} (m - 2)^{m - 1} + \frac {m (m - 1)}{1.2} (m - 4)^{m - 1} - \ldots \right \} \] zeigt für \(a = 0\) eine besondere Discontinuitaät, welche in der graphischen Darstellung nur sichtbar für \(m = 1\) oder \(m = 2\) hervortritt, während sie für grössere \(m\) sich nur in den \((m - 1)^{\text{ten}}\) und höheren Differentialquotienten erkennen lässt.
