Die Formeln, deren Geschichte Herr Todhunter bespricht, sind bekannt als die Gauss'schen Formeln der sphärischen Trigonometrie. Herr Todhunter kommt zu dem Schlusse, dass wir dieselben Herrn Delambre verdanken, eine Thatsache, welche jedem Mathematiker bekannt ist.
