Es sei \(\sum \pm a_1 b_2 c_3 = (a, b, c).\) Ist gegeben \(a_1 x^2 + b_1 y^2 + c_1 z^2 + f_1 yz + g_1 zx + h_1 xy\); \(a_2 x^2 + \cdot \cdot \) und bildet man \((a, b, h) (a, by+hx+fz, cz+gx) - (a, b, g)(a, b, hxy+fyz + \cdot \cdot )- (a, h, g) (h, a, by^2 + fyz + \cdot \cdot )\), so ist diese quadratische Form durch \(z\) theilbar.
