Diffusive-dispersive traveling waves and kinetic relations. I: Nonconvex hyperbolic conservation laws (Q1604514): Difference between revisions

This paper deals with the effect of vanishing diffusion and dispersion on the solution of hyperbolic or hyperbolic-elliptic systems of conservation laws. Searching for travelling wave solutions, the authors establish general results of existence, uniqueness, monotonicity, and asymptotic behaviour. They also derive many detailed properties of the kinetic relation arising in the diffusive-dispersive limit. Part II has been published in Proc. R. Soc. Edinb., Sect.
