This paper is devoted to initial-boundary value problems for a third-order semilinear composite type equation in a bounded domain. Such mathematical problem arise in the study of unsteady deformation processes related to creep in solid mechanics. Global nonexistence of a bounded solution is proved for a wide class of initial functions. The blowup time is estimated for a certain class of initial functions.
