The author extends his work [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 35, 305-320 (1985; Zbl 0589.20018)] by defining semistability at \(\infty\) for a 1-ended finitely generated group and then proving that if G is an infinite, solvable, finitely generated group, of finite rank, then G is 1-ended and semistable at \(\infty\) or 2-ended.
