Spectral properties of the operator \[ H=\sqrt{(\vec P-\vec a(\vec x))^2+m^2}+ V(\vec x);\;\vec P=-i\nabla,\;\vec x\in \mathbb{R}^n \] describing a spinless relativistic particle in an electromagnetic field, are studied. By using Enss time dependent method in scattering theory, it is proved that under appropriate conditions on \(\vec a(\vec x)\) and \(V(\vec x)\) one has: \(\sigma_{\text{ess}}(H)=[m,\infty)\); \(H\) has no singularly continuous spectrum and the only possible finite accumulation point for the point spectrum is \(m\).
