The authors reprove the following result of \textit{P. Gorkin } and \textit{R. Mortini} from 1996, which appeared in a paper of \textit{P. Gorkin}, \textit{K. Izuchi}, and \textit{R. Mortini} [J. Funct. Anal 177, 107-129 (2000; Zbl 0982.46035)]. Let \(I=I(f_1,\cdots,f_N)\) be the ideal generated by \(f_1,\cdots,f_N\in H^\infty\) and let \(J=J(f_1,\cdots,f_N)\) be the ideal of those functions \(f\in H^\infty\) for which there exists a constant \(C=C(f)\) such that \(|f(z)|\leq C\sum_{j=1}^N|f_j(z)|\). Suppose that for some \(s>0\) one has \[ \inf_{z\in D}\sum_{k=0}^s(1-|z|)^k\sum_{j=1}^N|f_j^{(k)}(z)|>0. \] Then \(J\) is contained in the norm closure of \(I\). The authors use \(\overline\partial\)-equations for their solution. It is also shown that whenever for some \(g\in H^p\), \(1\leq p<\infty\), the nontangential maximal function of \(|g|/\sum_{j=1}^N|f_j|\) belongs to \(L^p(\partial D)\), then \(g\) is in the \(H^p\)-closure of \(I\); thus there is no analogue of Bourgain's example for \(H^p\) [\textit{J. Bourgain}, Ann. Inst. Fourier, 35, 163-174, (1985; Zbl 0564.46044].
