Let \(X\) be a Banach space. In this paper, the author studies properties of algebraically paranormal operators on Banach spaces. In particular, he provides a more extended result for polaroid operators. Recall that an operator \(T\) on a Banach space \(X\) is polaroid if and only if \(p(T)\) is polaroid for some polynomial \(p\). As a consequence, algebraically paranormal operators defined on Banach space \(X\) are hereditarily polaroid. Moreover, the author shows that, if \(T\) is an algebraically paranormal operator and \(K\) is algebraic with \(TK= KT\), then \(f(T+K)\) satisfies Weyl type theorems, where \(f\) is an analytic function on an open neighborhood of \(\sigma(T+K)\) and nonconstant on each of the components of its domain.
