The authors define generalized \((\kappa,\mu)\)-space forms as a certain natural generalization of the two previously known notions: generalized Sasakian space forms [\textit{P. Alegre} et al., Isr. J. Math. 141, 157--183 (2004; Zbl 1064.53026)] and generalized \((\kappa,\mu)\)-spaces [\textit{D. E. Blair} et al., Isr. J. Math. 91, No. 1--3, 189--214 (1995; Zbl 0837.53038)]. At first, they check that some of the results concerning those classes remain true for the defined manifolds. Next, they obtain many new curvature properties of generalized \((\kappa,\mu)\)-space forms. Special attention is paid to 3-dimensional contact metric manifolds. Moreover, it is shown that every trans-Sasakian generalized \((\kappa,\mu)\)-space form is a generalized Sasakian space form.
