The authors derive explicit expressions for fundamental solutions of three-dimensional piezoelasticity of anisotropic media, using the Radon transform and the techniques of residue calculus. An efficient procedure is proposed for numerical evaluation of derivatives of these fundamental solutions. Comparison of the results obtained with available exact, closed-form solutions for transversely anisotropic piezoelectric solids is carried out and reflects perfect agreement. The derived expressions and the proposed numerical procedure may be efficiently used within the frame of the boundary integral method for numerical solution of basic equations of linear piezoelasticity.
