A function \(f\colon X\to Y\) between topological spaces \(X\) and \(Y\) is \textit{quasi-continuous at \(x\in X\)} if for any open neighbourhoods \(V\) of \(f(x)\) and \(U\) of \(x\) there is a nonempty open set \(W\subset U\) such that \(f(W)\subset V\). \(f\) is called \textit{quasi-continuous} if it is quasi-continuous at each point \(x\in X\). Let \(Q(X,Y)\) denote the family of all quasi-continuous functions from \(X\) to \(Y\). In the paper under review, the authors assume that \(X\) is an infinite Hausdorff space, \(Y=\mathbb{R}\) and consider \(Q(X,\mathbb{R})\) as the subspace of the space \(\mathbb{R}^X\) of all real-valued functions on \(X\) equipped with the product topology. In particular, they show that \(Q(X,\mathbb{R})\) is a dense subspace of \(\mathbb{R}^X\). In the main part of the paper the authors characterize the following cardinal invariants of the space \(Q(X,\mathbb{R})\): \(\bullet\) the character \(\chi(Q(X,\mathbb{R}))\); \(\bullet\) the \(\pi\)-character \(\pi_\chi(Q(X,\mathbb{R}))\); \(\bullet\) the cellularity \(c(Q(X,\mathbb{R}))\); \(\bullet\) the density \(d(Q(X,\mathbb{R}))\); \(\bullet\) the weight \(w(Q(X,\mathbb{R}))\); \(\bullet\) the network weight \(nw(Q(X,\mathbb{R}))\); \(\bullet\) the uniform weight \(u(Q(X,\mathbb{R}))\); \(\bullet\) the \(\pi\)-weight \(\pi w(Q(X,\mathbb{R}))\); \(\bullet\) the pseudo-character \(\psi(Q(X,\mathbb{R}))\). In particular, if \(X=\mathbb{R}\) then the following equalities hold: (1) \(c(Q(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R}))=d(Q(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})) =\aleph_0\); (2) \(nw(Q(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R}))=\pi w(Q(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})) = w(Q(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})) = \\\pi_\chi(Q(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})) = \chi(Q(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})) = \psi(Q(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})) =\mathfrak{c};\) (3) \(|(Q(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R}))|=2^{\mathfrak{c}}\).
