Let \(W\) be a finite or an affine Weyl group and \(W_c\) the set of all the fully commutative elements in \(W\). For any left cell \(L\) of \(W\) containing some fully commutative element, in this paper the author proves that \(L\) is left connected, i.e., there exists a unique element \(w^L\) in \(L\cap W_c\) such that any \(z\in L\) has the form \(z=xw^L\) with \(l(z)=l(x)+l(w^L)\) for \(x\in W\). This verifies a conjecture of Lusztig in that case.
