The author considers functions \(f:[0,1]\to X\), where \(X\) is a Banach space, and investigates the properties of various indefinite integrals to \(f\). In particular, he focuses on integrals in the sense of Henstock-Kurzweil-Pettis (HKP), Denjoy-Pettis (DP), and McShane-Pettis (MP). The first result answers a question posed in the paper ``Approximation of Banach space valued non-absolutely integrable functions by step functions'', [\textit{B. Bongiorno, L. Di Piazza} and \textit{K. Musiał}, Glasg. Math. J. 50, No. 3, 583--593 (2008; Zbl 1154.28006)]: What is the necessary and sufficient condition guaranteeing that for every function \(f\), the range of the indefinite integral, i.e., the set \(\{\int_a^b f; [a,b]\subset[0,1]\}\), is relatively compact? For the HKP and DP integrals, this turns out to be true if and only if the indefinite integral is continuous on \([0,1]\) or, equivalently, if and only if \(X\) has Schur's property. In the second part of the paper, the author finds necessary and sufficient conditions on \(X\) guaranteeing that for every function \(f\), the indefinite integral has at most countably many discontinuities. For the HKP and MP integral, this happens if and only if \(X\) does not contain an isomorphic copy of \(c_0\). For the DP integral, the statement is true if and only if \(X\) has Schur's property.
