The purpose of the paper is to study and characterize pairwise orthogonal frames generated by unitary representations of locally compact abelian (LCA) groups. This is done by introducing the notion of pre-Gramian operator associated with Bessel families generated by unitary actions of co-compact subgroups of LCA groups. This is then used to investigate the dual Gramian analysis tools introduced in earlier work by other authors [\textit{A. Ron} and \textit{Z. Shen}, Can. J. Math. 47, No. 5, 1051--1094 (1995; Zbl 0838.42016); J. Funct. Anal. 148, No. 2, 408--447 (1997; Zbl 0891.42018)]. Then the fiberization of various operators corresponding to the above mentioned Bessel families is studied via the pre-Gramian operator. With this approach, the authors have studied the orthogonality of frames for subspaces of a separable Hilbert space \(\mathcal{H}\) that are invariant under the action of unitary representations of a closed and co-compact abelian group \(\Gamma \subset G\) on \(\mathcal{H},\) where \(G\) is a second countable LCA group. In the approach used here, it is not required that \(\Gamma\) is discrete. Also, the results apply to LCA groups \(G\) that do not have uniform lattices.
