For any vertex operator algebra \(V\), a sequence of associative algebras \(A_n(V)\), for \(n \geq 0\), was defined in [\textit{C. Dong} et al., J. Algebra 206, No. 1, 67--96 (1998; Zbl 0911.17017)], which generalize the associative algebra \(A(V)\) constructed in [\textit{Y. Zhu}, J. Am. Math. Soc. 9, No. 1, 237--302 (1996; Zbl 0854.17034)]. In the paper under review, for a \(V\)--module \(M\) and \(n \geq 0\), the authors construct an \(A_n(V)\)-bimodule \(A_n(M)\), generalizing the construction of \(A(V)\)-bimodule \(A(M)\) from \textit{I. B. Frenkel} and \textit{Y. Zhu} [Duke Math. J. 66, No. 1, 123--168 (1992; Zbl 0848.17032)]. The authors study the connection between \(A_n(M)\) and intertwining operators. They also investigate the relation between \(A_n(M) ^*\) and \(A_n(M')\).
