Using local Ricci flow techniques and a local form of Moser iteration applied to a certain non-linear heat equation as found in \textit{D. Yang} [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 25, No. 1, 77--105 (1992; Zbl 0748.53025)], the author obtains an estimate of the volume growth of geodesic balls for complete, non-compact 4-dimensional Riemannian manifolds with small integral bounds and whose Bach tensor has finite \(L^2\)-norm. This kind of problem was considered earlier by \textit{G. Tian} and \textit{J. Viaclovsky} in [Invent. Math. 160, No. 2, 357--415 (2005; Zbl 1085.53030)] under the more restrictive assumption that the Bach tensor vanishes.
