Summary: We investigate the global asymptotic behavior of solutions of the difference equation \(x_{n+1}= (1-\sum_{j=0}^{k-1}x_{n-j})(1-e^{-Ax_n})\), \(n\in\mathbb N_0\), where \(A\in(0,\infty)\), \(k\in\{2,3,\dots\}\), and the initial values \(x_{-k+1},x_{-k+2},\dots,x_0\) are arbitrary negative numbers. Asymptotics of some positive solutions of the equation are also found.
