The free surface problems are theoretically and numerically challenging. The present paper studies a problem with evolving free surface of a bubble that is nearby the fluid-gas interface. The problem is investigated numerically by the boundary integral method. The flow field is assumed inviscid and irrotational. The effect of buoyancy on bubbles is examined. When the bubble is close to the free surface, highly nonlinear behavior is observed: the Bjerknes jet is formed near the end of the collapse phase, and the free surface rises and falls with the expansion and collapse of the bubble, respectively.
