To establish a real variable theory related to the Monge-Ampère equation, \textit{L. A. Caffarelli} and \textit{C. E. Gutiérrez} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 348, No.~3, 1075--1092 (1996; Zbl 0858.35034)] established a Besicovitch type covering lemma for a family \({\mathcal F}\) of convex sets in \({\mathbb R}^n\), where \({\mathcal F}=\{S(x,t)\subset {\mathbb R}^n:\;x\in {\mathbb R}^n,\, t>0\}\) and \(S(x,t)\) is called a section satisfying certain axioms of affine invariance. In this paper, the authors introduce \((1,q)\)-atoms related to \({\mathcal F}\) for \(1<q\leq\infty\) and the atomic Hardy spaces \(H^{1,q}_{\mathcal F}({\mathbb R}^n)\). Then they prove that the atomic Hardy spaces \(H^{1,q}_{\mathcal F}({\mathbb R}^n)\) are all equivalent for any \(q>1\), and their dual spaces are \({\text{BMO}}_{\mathcal F}({\mathbb R}^n)\), which was introduced by Caffarelli and Gutiérrez in the above mentioned paper. Moreover, as application, the authors also prove that the Monge-Ampère singular integral operators are bounded from \(H^1_{\mathcal F}({\mathbb R}^n)\) to \(L^1({\mathbb R}^n)\). Some related results on spaces of homogeneous type can also be found in [\textit{R. R. Coifman} and \textit{G. Weiss}, Bull. Am. Math. Soc. 83, 569--645 (1977; Zbl 0358.30023)].
