This work continues earlier work by the authors [\textit{M.~Schlosser}, Ramanujan J. 1, No. 3, 243-274 (1997; Zbl 0934.33006); \textit{G. Bhatnagar}, Ramanujan J. 3, No. 2, 175-203 (1999; Zbl 0930.33012)] on multidimensional basic hypergeometric series associated to root systems. One of the cornerstones in the classical theory of (one-dimensional) basic hypergeometric series is Bailey's transformation formula for very-well-poised \(_{10}\phi_9\) series. A standard way to derive this formula is by starting with a certain double sum, of which the inner sum can be evaluated by means of Jackson's summation for the very-well-poised \(_8\phi_7\) series, and equating it to the same sum, but with summations interchanged and, again, inner sum evaluated by means of Jackson's summation. The authors use this same method in the multidimensional setting. Since, in the multidimensional setting, several extensions of Jackson's summation are known (due to Denis and Gustafson, Milne, and the authors), they are able to derive a plethora of new multidimensional extensions of Bailey's \(_{10}\phi_9\) transformation by combining the available multidimensional extensions of Jackson's summation in all possible ways. By specialization, they then move on to deduce numerous multidimensional extensions of Watson's transformation of a very-well-poised \(_8\phi_7\) series to a balanced \(_4\phi_3\) series. They recover all of the previously known ones, and, in addition, find 14 new ones. Further results include new multidimensional extensions of Sear's transformation for balanced \(_4\phi_3\) series.
