Already R. Fueter formulated a principle how to construct quaternionic regular functions starting from functions which are holomorphic in a domain in the complex plane. In this paper Fueter's result is extended to Euclidean spaces \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\). Furthermore, the author could verify that for \(n\) being odd the extension is consistent with a former result of \textit{M. Sce} [Atti Accad. Naz. Lincei, Rend., Cl. Sci. Fis. Mat. Natur., VIII. Ser. 23, 39-44 (1957; Zbl 0080.02502)]. Let \(f=u+iv\) and \(u=u(x_0,y)\), \(v=v(x_0,y)\) (\(y>0\)) are real-valued functions defined in the upper half-plane, then the generalized Fueter mapping is just defined by \(\tau(f)=\Delta^{\frac{n-1}{2}}\vec f\), where \(\vec f(x)=u+\underline x/|\underline x| v\), \(y=|\underline x|\) and \(\underline x=\sum_{i=1}^nx_ie_i\). In case of even \(n\) \(\Delta^{\frac{n-1}{2}}\) is the Fourier multiplier transform induced by \((2\pi i|\xi|)^{n-1}\). This is a readable nice paper.
