The paper deals with the linear differential system \(x'(t)= Q_0x(t)+\int_{-r}^0\, d\eta(\theta)x(t+\theta)\) and the system of neutral type \((x(t)-Ax(t-\tau))'= Q_0x(t)+\int_{-r}^0 \,d\eta(\theta)x(t+\theta)\), where \(x(t)\in \mathbb{R}^n\), \(r>0\), \(\tau>0\), \(Q_0,A\in \mathbb{R}^{n\times n}\), \(\eta(\theta)\) is a left-continuous matrix-valued function of bounded variation on the interval \([-r, 0]\) and vanishes at \(\theta =0\). Using some properties of the corresponding characteristic equations and of matrix measures, the authors establish conditions under which the considered equation is nonoscillatory or/and it has at least one bounded nonoscillatory solution.
