The authors study the stability of multidimensional transonic shocks in steady supersonic flow governed by the potential flow equation past wedges. The stability problem is considered as a free-boundary nonlinear elliptic problem. The weak transonic shock solution is proven to be conditionally stable with respect to small edge perturbations.
