This paper deals with the existence of global attractors and uniform persistence of a population model of a single population with two distinct life stages. The model is reduced to a scalar functional differential equation. Then the authors study the behavior of the generated dynamical system and provide sharp sufficient conditions for the uniform persistence of the population.
