The following singularly perturbed problem with small parameter is considered: \({\partial u\over\partial t}-\varepsilon b(x,t){\partial^ 2u\over\partial x^ 2}+c(x,t,u)=0\), \(0\leq x\leq \ell\), \(0\leq t\leq T\), \(u(x,0)=\varphi(x)\), \(u(0,t)=u(\ell,t)=0\). A nonlinear two-level difference scheme is constructed on special non-uniform grids. The uniform convergence of this scheme is proved and some numerical examples are given.
