Let \(\alpha \) be a Riemannian metric, \(\beta\) be a 1-form and \(\phi\) be a positive smooth function on an \(n\)-dimensional Riemann manifold \(M\). Recall that a Finsler \((\alpha ,\beta)\)-metric on \(M\) is defined by \(F =\alpha \phi(\beta /\alpha)\). In their main result (Theorem 1.1), the authors find an ordinary differential equation such that if \(\phi\) satisfies this ODE, then the corresponding Einstein \((a ,\beta)\)-Finsler metrics \(F\) (subject to certain conditions) is Ricci flat.
