An algebraic model for the homotopy category of rational \(O(2)\)-equivariant spectra was given by \textit{J. P. C. Greenlees} [in: Stable and unstable homotopy. Proceedings of workshops held during 1996 at the Fields Institute, Waterloo, Canada. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society. 103--110 (1998; Zbl 0901.55002)]. Barnes shows that Greenlees' equivalence is in fact induced by a Quillen equivalence of the underlying model categories. The key idea is to split the model category of rational \(O(2)\)-spectra into a ``toral'' and a ``dihedral'' part and to construct separate algebraic models for them.
