The paper studies quasilinear boundary value problems at resonance in a bounded domain with homogeneous Dirichlet condition. The interaction of the nonlinearity with the spectrum is carefully considered. The authors' basic idea is to use bifurcation theory by embedding the quasilinear problem into a one-parameter problem. Extensions of the corresponding results to the semilinear case involving Landesman-Lazer conditions are obtained.
